KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 (Bernama) -- The draw date for the Beijing Olympic Games (BWF) badminton competition has been brought forward to July 26 from Aug 4 to ensure better scheduling of television broadcast of the events.

KUALA LUMPUR: Doubles coach Rexy Mainaky wants shuttlers Lee Wan Wah-Choong Tan Fook and Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong to treat all their rivals in the Beijing Olympics in China next month with respect.

The early rounds of the Olympic badminton competition should be a breeze, especially for the seeded players but Rexy does not want the two men’s doubles pairs to treat their opponents lightly.

KUALA LUMPUR: One of the top four seeded pairs have always gone on to contest the Olympic final in the men's doubles competition and Koo Kien Keat-Boon Heong will be out to beat the odds in Beijing next month.

The duo will not be seeded for their first outing in the Olympics. Veterans Lee Wan Wah-Choong Tan Fook look set to be named as the fourth seeds behind Lee Yong-dae-Jung Jae-sung of South Korea, Fu Haifeng-Cai Yun of China and Markis Kido-Hendra Setiawan of Indonesia.
