Beijing: 2015 has been a dismal year for Lin Dan, a.k.a the greatest men's singles player to ever played the sport of badminton. He began his 2015 campaign reaching the semifinals of All England, he lost to Tommy Sugiarto in the quarter-finals of India Open, lost to Chen Long in Malaysia Open final, was consecutively eliminated in the first round of Australian Open Superseries and Indonesia Open Superseries Premier, and lost to Jan Jorgensen in the quarter-finals of World Championships.Lin Dan looks cool in sunglasses which carry his name.

Kuala Lumpur: The 15-year-old Goh Jin Wei, who is smally-built, but fast in movement and court coverage, has been rated as a genuine medal prospect for the 2020 Olympics, by which time she will be 20 years of age.

Indian Badminton League set to start in January

Nagpur: After a long wait and overcoming several hurdles, the second edition of the Indian Badminton League (IBL) will be held in January, 2016, according to Badminton Association of India (BAI) president Akhilesh Dasgupta on Saturday.

"Yes, the second edition of IBL will be held in January. I cannot announce the exact dates now but it will most probably held in the second and third week of January. We will announce all the details in a press conference soon," said Dasgupta.The 2013 Indian Badminton League season was a huge success. (photo: PTI)

Kuala Lumpur: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have devised a six-week shuttler exchange program with Denmark aimed to provide numerous opportunities to facilitate, to  guide, and to develop badminton players from both countries.In addition to Denmark, Morten Frost should also design an exchange program with shuttlers and coaches from China.
