KKZBA to hold Youth, Open and Veteran C'ship

Kota Kinabalu: The Kota Kinabalu Zone Badminton Association (KKZBA) will be holding its Youth, Open Division and Veteran Invitation Championship on March 7-9 at the Likas Sports Complex here.

Organising chairman, Thomas Lim said that in the Youth category, 18 events is on offer for players under the age of 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18.

Expect for the U-10 category (Singles events for Boys and Girls only) all the categories offer singles and doubles events for boys and girls.

The Open division, he said will have singles and doubles event for Men and Women, while the Veterans' events offer Women's Veteran Doubles (combined age 70 years, minimum 35) and the Men's Veteran Doubles (combined age 90 and 100 years).

He said potential shuttlers here have the chance to be selected to represent the city at the coming State Closed championship.

Entry forms can be obtained from Ararat Sports and Souvenirs in Kuwasa, Pinsa Sports (Karamunsing Complex), United Sports (Centre Point), Max Collection (Centre Point) and Sports Centre at the Foo Chow Hall in Luyang.

Closing date to submit forms is on March 2 (Monday) at 4pm.
