Jakarta: The Badminton Association of Indonesia or PBSI on Tuesday announced the final 20-player roster for the 2018 Indonesian Thomas and Uber Cup teams that will compete in the 2018 Thomas Cup in Bangkok, Thailand, from May 20 – May 27, 2018.

The final roster features four singles players and six doubles players in each team.

“These are the teams that will strengthen Indonesia’s chances in Thomas and Uber Cup in Bangkok this year,” said PBSI’s Head of Development and Achievement Susi Susanti.

“The selection of players is based on their rankings, their performances so far and based on the needs to make adjustments to take on our different opponents” said Susanti.

The Indonesian team will begin final preparations such team building exercises to strengthening team spirit for the 2018 Thomas Cup and Uber Finals before departs for Bangkok.

Here are the names of Indonesian shuttlers who will compete at the 2018 Thomas and Uber Cup Finals.

The Indonesian Thomas Cup team was drawn into Group B with Korea, Canada and Thailand while the Uber team has been entered into Group D with China, France and Malaysia.

Earlier this year, after a prolonged period in the doldrums, the Indonesian men’s team propelled by fighting performances from its shuttlers to beat China by a 3-1 margin to bag the gold at the Asia Team Badminton Championships on Feb 11, 2018.
