Indian shuttler shines in Junior Badminton championship

Indian shuttler started their campaign at a winning note in the Asian Junior Badminton championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Wednesday.

India’s P. C. Thulasi, Rane Saili and N. Sikki Reddy has entered in to the second round of the women’s single event while H.S. Prannoy won his first round match in the boys singles event.

Thulasi has defeated Korean Lee So Hee in straight sets by 21-16, 21-18 while Saili outplayed Filipchuk Ilyana of Kazakhstan by 21-4, 21-4.

N. Sikki Reddy also has a easy going as he thrashed Chehera Lashini of Sri Lanka in the straight sets by 21-7, 21-10 to move into the second round.

P.V. Sindhu of India lost to Malaysian Ng Florah Siew Fong in a close match by 20-22, 20-22.

H.S. Prannoy also advanced to second round after defeating Fayaz Ismail of Maldives by 21-5, 21-8 in the first round.

While Sai Praneet, Sumeeth Reddy and Naqvi Eshan have moved to second round after receiving a bye in the first round.
