KUALA LUMPUR: The Badminton Association Malaysia (BAM) have asked Tan Chun Seang to submit an appeal letter if he is unhappy with their two-year ban on him from competing in international tournaments.

The 23-year-old Chun Seang walked out from the national team last week due to family problems.

In a bid to protect their programme, though, the BAM decided to bar him from taking part in international meets. BAM secretary P. Ganga Rao said: “We will reply to Chun Seang when an official letter is written to us. For now, the BAM’s decision is final. We do not want players to leave us for one reason and, then, we find them playing some where else.”
