Tokyo: The World No. 1 Kento Momota celebrated his 25th birthday on Sunday, although it seems as if it was just yesterday that the reigning World Champion has been living under the shadow of Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan.

Now that Lee has retired from the sport, and Lin’s remarkable career is on its twilight, sadly so for those true lovers of Lee-Lin rivalry, Momota has possessed the ability to dominate the sport of badminton and is a huge favorite to win the Tokyo badminton gold in front of his home crowd.

On September 1, Momota posted message below on his social media page:
“I am 25 years old.
I want to make it a year without regrets.
Hope you will continue to support me! !”

Happy Birthday to Kento Momota and wish him a wonderful year ahead full of blessings and remarkable accomplishments.
