Tan Fook and Jiewen’s big day

THE Malaysian Open will always have a special spot in the heart of veteran doubles shuttler Choong Tan Fook.

He fell in love with China’s formidable doubles player Zhang Jiewen at the 2004 event. And today, they will officially register their marriage in Kuala Lumpur.Lovebirds: Tan Fook and Jiewen will wed today.

“It will be special day. Finally, I am making it official. We will certainly remember the Malaysian Open forever,” he said.

Tan Fook-Wan Wah lost in the opening round of the ongoing Malaysian Open to Mak Hee Chun-Tan Wee Kiong on Wednesday.
