PETALING JAYA: Malaysia stunned South Korea 3-2 on Wednesday to reach the quarter-finals of the Thomas Cup Asian Zone qualifying tournament as the Group D champions.
They will take on Group B runner-up India Thursday and stand a good chance to reach the semi-finals and seal a ticket for the Thomas Cup Finals, which will be held in Wuhan, China from May 20-27.
The three points against South Korea came from Lee Chong Wei and men's doubles pairs Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong and Lim Khim Wah-Goh V Shem.
