The Indian Badminton League (IBL) Friday named five of the six Under-19 promising players for its franchises.
According to IBL rules, each franchisee must include one promising India Under-19 shuttler in addition to those bought at the auction. The players were chosen by each franchisee from their respective catchment area.
The following is the list of the players: Harsheel Dani (Mumbai Masters), Utkarsh Arora (Delhi Smashers), Revathi Devasthale (Pune Pistons), C Rahul Yadav (Hyderabad Hotshots), Daniel Farid (Banga Beats).
The sixth franchisee, Awadhe Warriors, is in the process of finalising the young player and the name will be announced shortly.
The $1 million IBL will be held August 14-31.
