The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) picked world No. 23 Woon Khe Wei-Vivian Hoo, world No. 30 Amelia Anscelly-Soong Fie Cho and Lee world No. 44 Meng Yean-Lim Yin Loo as women's doubles players in the Uber Cup Finals. According to BAM, Ng sisters the reason why they didn't select Hui-Lin and Hui Ern was because the pair didn't show up for the three days selection trials held last week at Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara.

The sisters surely would be able to attend the trial if they were physically presence in Malaysia. The sisters are currently in the final year of their economics degree course at the Loughborough University in England. According to Hui Lin, they have already got their visas to India. They were prepared to bring their books, and to fly straight from England to India if they were selected for the Uber Cup

The duo said despite the setback, they will stay positive and focusing on completing their four-year studies next month.

Hui Lin-Hui Ern however have qualified for this year’s World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, in August. The decision of whether or not they can play in World Championships is once again in the hands of BAM.
