Jagdish Singh-Roni Tan Wee Long won their first career international title when they upset second seeds Raymond Tam-Glenn Warfe of Australia 21-14, 21-19 at the Victor Maribyrnong International in Melbourne, Australia in August, 2014.

The victory proved to be a sweet revenge for Jagdish Singh and Roni Tan Wee Long after they lost to the Taiwanese pair in the opening round of the 2015 Malaysian Masters in Kuching in March.

In men’s singles final, a ruthless Nguyen Tien Minh of Vietnam confidently dispatched No. 1 seed Zulfadli Zulkiffli of Malaysia 21-11, 21-12 to take the 2015 Sydney International Challenge title in little over 32 minutes.

Setyana Mapasa and Gronya Somerville came up short in front of their home crowd after losing 13-21, 9-21 in the women’s doubles final against No. 1 seeds Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjaiof Thailand.

Following disappointments in women’s doubles, mixed doubles No. 2 seeds Robin Middleton and Leanne Choo of Australia weren’t about to let home-court advantage slip away for the Australian team in the final game against No. 1 seeds Phillip Chew and Jamie Subandhi of U.S.A. The Australians put on aggressive and solid display, denying the Americans 21-8, 21-17 to lift the mixed doubles title in 30 minutes.

In the longest match of the finals, No. 4 seed Pornpawee Chochuwong of Thailand saw off a stubborn No. 3 seed Ozge Bayrak of Turkey 21-11, 14-21, 21-19 in 64 minutes to clinch the women’s singles crown.
