Second seed Lin Dan beat Chinese teammate, sixth seed Chen Hong 15-21, 21-19, 21-14 on Saturday to reach the all-Chinese men's singles final of the World Badminton Championships.

In the final, the 22-year-old Lin will meet the seventh seed Bao Chunlai, who beat gritty Lee Hyun Ii of South Korea 21-15, 21-19 in the other semifinal.

Chen saved four match points before sending a return long to end the 54-minute clash.

"I found my touch in the third game, I think I outpaced him," said a relieved Lin.

"I was under some mental pressures in the first game, I don't know where they are from, but they did affect my performance," he added.

Chen, who beat reigning titlist Taufik Hidayat and the fourth seed Peter Gade on route to the semifinals, said he was exhausted in the third game.

"I met some physical problems and my shots were not as accurate as the first two games.

"It's a regret to stop before the final, but I have tried my best, " the 26-year-old said.

He said Lin has a fifty-five per cent chance to beat Bao in the final.

The 23-year-old Bao seemed to be relaxed after accomplishing the arduous task for his team.

"I am very relieved now, before the match I was mentally tired as I had been all the time thinking about how to play. Now I have done my job and the title is ours," he said.

This match is the repeat of last month's Korea Open semifinal where Bao trounced Lee on his way to win the eventual title.

"I was confident that I would win the match, as I beat him last month and this gave me some psychological edge," Bao said.

When trailing 19-15 in the second game, Lee fought back to win four points in a row. But Bao regrouped himself and won the next two points to end the match.

"Bao's defence was too good, and that forced me to make a lot of errors," the despondent Lee said.

"I am in good form and the chances are also very good for me to win the title, but the Chinese players are too strong," he added.
