Hendra Gunawan-Joko Riyadi eliminated Khoo Chung Chiat-Tan Bin Shen with a 21-15, 21-13 victory.
Women’s doubles Wong Pei Tty-Chin Eei Hui appeared to be the only pair capable of reaching the last four but they were undone by a former China pair playing for Macau.
Pei Tty-Eei Hui, who were runners-up in the Japan Open last week, were beaten 14-21, 21-14, 22-20 by Zhang Dan-Zhang Zhibo.
