Chinese crown slips at All England badminton championships

LONDON (Reuters) - China's crown at the All England championships in Birmingham slipped at the weekend when they ended with just two of the five titles, their most modest showing since 2002.
TAN Boon Heong is adamant that his and doubles partner Koo Kien Keat's loss to a Korean scratch pair was a rare slip and the pair vowed to get their act together in their All England title defence in Birmingham next week.
Kien Keat-Boon Heong, the World No 3, were expected to cruise past Jung Jae Sung-Lee Jae Jin but instead suffered a stunning defeat on Sunday.

KUALA LUMPUR: National men’s doubles specialist Tan Boon Heong can’t stand losing to the same opponents twice.
Last year, he and partner Koo Kien Keat lost to Taiwan’s Tsai Chia-hsin-Hu Chung-hsien in the second round of the China Open and Japan's Shuichi Sakamoto-Ikeda Shintaro in the third round of the World Championships.
