PETALING JAYA: China proved once again that they are just too strong for the rest with their continued dominance in the mixed team event at the Asian Junior Championships.
They beat South Korea 3-0 in the finals on Wednesday, making it their fifth win since the introduction of the event in 2006.
The Chinese junior shuttlers got off to a perfect start when their mixed doubles pair Huang Kaixiang-Chen Qingchen took only 24 minutes to defeat Koreans Choi Jong-woo-Kim Hyang-im 21-7, 21-12.
They then went on to get their second point when Lin Guipu beat Seo Seung-jae 21-11, 21-16 in the boys’ singles.
China then sealed the deal through their boys’ doubles – Huang Kaixiang-Zheng Siwei beat Kim Jung-ho-Kim Jae-hwan 21-17, 21-19.
