Kuala Lumpur: Indonesia Open would be Goh V Shem-Lim Khim Wah’s last chance to fulfil their potentials as the promising men’s doubles for Malaysia. Lim Khim Wah-Goh V Shem has shown some improvements by winning the Malaysian Open early this year, but they have been struggling for form since.The future of Khim Wah (left) -V Shem partnership will depends on their result in the Indonesia Open

Goh V Shem has been partnered with different players since Thomas Cup, his partnership with Tan Wee-Kiong stood out as the most impressive during Thomas Cup Finals, where they won all their matches against top pairs from Korea and Japan.

 

“Frankly, changing partnership too often could create a destabilizing situation for the players. Nevertheless, I will try to stay positive, and hope for strong finish in Indonesia Open,” stated V Shem.

“After Indonesia Open, Khim Wah and I will start preparing for the World Championships; we will remain wholeheartedly focused on ending the world meet on a high.”

V Shem-Khim Wah will play their open match in Indonesia Open against former All-England champions Qiu Zihan-Liu Xiaolong of China. Other pairs in the same half as them are Mathias Boe-Carsten Mogensen of Denmark and China’s Fu Haifeng-Zhang Nan.

The other Malaysian doubles – Tan Boon Heong- Tan Wee Kiong will play Maneepong Jongjit-Nipitphon Puangpuapech of Thailand in the first round, and Hoon Thien How-Ow Yao Han will have to qualify for the main draw.
