KUALA LUMPUR--China's Zhu Lin walked over Hong Kong's Wang Chen to win the women's world badminton championship title here Sunday.

Fifth seed Zhu outclassed Asian Games champion and veteran Wang to win her first world title 21-8, 21-12.
Wang, 31, playing in her last world championships, rallied hard in the second game but looked a different player to the one who demolished China's world number one Zhang Ning just one day earlier.

"This is my biggest title. I was looking forward to this game very much but I didn't expect to win," Zhu said.

"This will give me great confidence to fight to qualify for the Olympics next year. There are more Super Series tournaments later this year so hopefully I can make it," she added.

Zhu said she did not feel under pressure to win the coveted title after China's star shuttlers Zhang and defending champion Xie Xingfang exited the tournament earlier this week.

"I spoke with her (Zhang) before the game and we talked about how to beat Chen but there was no pressure," she said.

"I just wanted to go out there and play my best.
