NATIONAL number one Lee Chong Wei will be out to keep his unbeaten record intact against Japan’s Shoji Sato.

Chong Wei is not at all worried about the fact that the Japanese beat dane Peter Gade-Christensen in a group tie on Monday and he is looking at giving Malaysia a flying start in the quarter-final tie

“Sato is an ordinary player but he is a runner. He likes to keep the match long on the court. But overall, I have a better chance against him,” said Chong Wei, the world number two.

“Peter is coming back to competitive badminton after a short break. So, I was not too surprised that he lost to Sato.”

Chong Wei is confident that Malaysia will reach the semi-finals.

“We have more depth in our team compared to Japan. They may want to steal one point in the singles and go for broke in the doubles. But we have the determination and look good to beat them,” added Chong Wei.
