As if to celebrate it, the event is offering the biggest-ever prize money with even the qualifiers benefiting to a large extent. The event boasts of a Rs 9 lakh prize pool — the first in the history of Indian badminton — and it makes a heady mixture giving the sport in the Capital a new fillip.

New Delhi, Dec 18 (UNI) Top Indian badminton players Anup Sridhar, Chetan Anand and Sania Nehwal will be playing at the Pramod Mahajan All-India Senior Ranking Badminton tournament, starting here on Jan 1.The second edition of the tournament that will be held at the Siri Fort Sports Complex, is organised by the Pramod Mahajan Club (PMC) and will carry the biggest prize money (Rs.900,000) ever in the history of Indian badminton.
