Kuala Lumpur: The birthday celebrations were unique and unforgettable when badminton’s two biggest stars in the past two decades, Lee Chong Wei, and Lin Dan have taken their fierce rivalry into a more fun and family oriented way as they were both having early birthday celebration on the Oct 13, 2019.
Lee, who was born on October 21, 1982, got an early start when the Malaysian badminton legend received a surprised birthday party arranged by his wife, Wong Mew Choo on Oct 13.
The former World No. 1 posted some pictures on his Facebook on Monday, showing him celebrated his 37th birthday with family and friends.
He also wrote a message on Facebook saying: “Am overwhelmed to receive a be-earliered birthday surprise from wifey. Thank you for always being there for me. Semoga semua sihat sejahtera dan happy happy selalu! Happiness is the best medicine.”
Meanwhile, Lin Dan whose actual birthday was on Oct 14th, also celebrated his 36th birthday on Oct 13 before departing to Odense, Denmark on Oct 14th to participate in the Denmark Open.
Lin Dan’s wife, Xie Xingfang posted a video on her social media page on Oct 13th which showed Lin Dan was cooking in the kitchen, seemingly having a small celebration with his family before leaving for Denmark the next day.
