Badminton’s Commonwealth Games gold medallist Tracey Hallam has announced her retirement at the age of 33.
She reached a high of seven in the world rankings and reached the last eight in three consecutive world championships, from 2005 to 2007.
Hallam, from Burton-on-Trent, said: “Now is the time to go. I have many great memories, including winning the 2006 Commonwealth gold in Melbourne.”
England coach Ian Wright said: “She is a credit to the sport.”
