Kento Momota confirms joining the Malaysia Purple League

Kuala Lumpur: World No. 1 Kento Momota of Japan has confirmed that he will be playing for Ampang Jaya Badminton Club in the fifth season of the Malaysia Purple League.

Posted in his social media page, Momota wrote:

“Hello Malaysia fans, I am coming to end of the year and celebrate Christmas with you. Good luck to Ampang Jaya BC and see all of you Soon. Ganbatte ! Stay tuned @ampangjayabc”

Besides Momota, other players who will be representing Ampang Jaya BC in the Purple League are Frenchman Brice Leverdez as well as Malaysia’s Chan Peng Soon, Lee Zii Jia, Goh Jin Wei and Shevon Jemie Lai.

The 2018/2019 season of Purple League will kick off at Gem In Mall at Cyberjaya on December 21, 2018, while the finals will be held at the Arena of Stars in Resorts World Genting in January of 2019.
