BWF selects PV Sindhu, Michelle Li, Zheng SiWei and Huang YaQiong as ambassadors for clean & honest badminton

Kuala Lumpur: The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has chosen several badminton stars from the World Tour and Para badminton to become its ambassadors of promoting clean and honest play for the sport of badminton.

BWF has named shuttlers below to become its ambassadors of the overall “I am badminton” theme that shape the clean and honest play campaign.

India’s World No. 7 women’s singles player PV Sindhu said that clean and honest are critical for badminton.

“It just starts with one person that you need to play the sport clean and you need to be honest about it, and that attitude will influence a lot people slowly,” said Sindhu.

“You have to be happy about it, you have to play very clean, and that’s very important according to me,” added Sindhu.

Meanwhile, World No. 10 women’s singles player Michelle Li of Canada also providde her views about playing clean.

“Everybody is here doing the same thing and working really hard, trying to go for the same goal,” said Li.

“We all wanting to start at the same starting line, and it’s so important to be fair, because that’s the true representation of what your ability is,” added Li.
