Tokyo: Not only that Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Higashino of Japan are the current World No. 5 mixed doubles pair, but they also have a promising acting career ahead of them after they retired from professional badminton as the duo also loved goofing around and playing pranks on people.
A video released on Facebook showing Yuta Watanabe was displaying his smashing and other badminton skills to a group of men and women.
While no one in the group could return smashes from Watanabe; Higashino, who disguised as an old woman, completed with dirty clothes, shaggy hair, and looked clumsy, somehow able to return all smashes from Watanabe in very awkward ways. At first, people thought that the old lady probably just got lucky, until she made a male participant running all over the court, and showing off her unbelievable trick shots. Everyone started to suspect something wasn’t as it seemed.
In a grand finale, Higashino stood next to Watanabe and revealed that she was the badminton player from the Japanese national team. Suddenly, people just ended in all smiles as they all had a good laugh.
