Kuala Lumpur: BadmintonPlanet.com is thrilled to be part of two Kento Momota videos that praised his commitment to providing relief and recovery to the Japanese communities impacted by coronavirus.

In May 2020, Momota of Japan has donated the prize money he received for winning 11 badminton tournaments in 2019 towards the fund for fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic. The World No. 1 player donated 5 million Japanese yen (USD $46,460.00) to front-line workers such as nurses, doctors, and first responders from the Tokyo Medical Association.

The 26-year-old also penned heartfelt thanks to his fans who supported him, even in the days when he couldn’t practice after sustaining injuries in a fatal car crash in Malaysia on Jan 13, 2020.
