Tokyo: Japan’s former World No. 1 and two-time World Champion – Kento Momota threw the first pitch for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters versus Yomiuri Giants baseball game which took place on May 29th.
Using his left arm, Momota managed to throw a beautiful 104-kilometer fastball brilliantly.
“I was very nervous. I can’t believe it’s that fast,” said Momota after the ceremonial first pitch.
Momota was wearing the jersey which has the number one printed on the back.

“The Fighters gave me the number one jersey hoping I could return to World No. 1 again,” added Momota.
Momota who is currently ranked World No. 2 seemed to enjoy the event very much as he was laughing and shaking hands with the players from the Fighters.
