Four Singapore doubles pairs made it to the first round

Four Singapore's doubles pairs made it to the main draw of the OUE Singapore Open on Tuesday.

Malaysian Open Grand Prix Gold champion – Danny Bawa Chrisnanta and Chayut Triyachart cruised to first round of OUE Singapore Open after winning against Indonesian duo – Saputra Albert and Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki with 21-15, 21-15; Ashton Chen and Robin Gonansa also qualified to the first round after knocking off Guru Prasad and Venkatesh Prasad from India 21-13, 21-17.Malaysian Open Grand Prix Gold champion - Singapore's Danny Bawa Chrisnanta (left) and Chayut Triyachart in their match against  Indonesia's Saputra Albert and Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki at the OUE Singapore Open on April 8, 2014.

Meanwhile, in the mixed doubles department, Chayut Triyachart – Yao Lei overcame Takeshi Kamura and Misato Aratama from Japan 22-20, 21-12, while Terry Hee – Fu Mingtian defeated Indonesia's Praveen Jordan and Debby Susanto in 3 sets 17-21, 21-11, 21-17.

Together with these four pairs, other Singapore singles and doubles shuttlers who also made it to the main draw of the Open are:
Derek Wong (men's singles), Gu Juan (women's singles), Chrisnanta and Vanesse Neo (mixed doubles) and Tan Wei Han and Delis Yuliana (women's doubles).
