Singapore: We watch sports for the thrill, excitement, and passion we feel for our favorite teams.
But let’s face it: Sex appeal is a huge part of which athletes and sports we end up following.
While athletes from across Southeast Asia are gathering in Singapore for the 28th SEA Games, let’s take a look at some of the sexiest athletes from across the Southeast Asia region.
Ratchanok Intanon, Thailand, Badminton
The World No.6 and Asian champion Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand who just won the Indonesia Open has won the hearts of her people thanks to her never-say-die attitude.
In 2013, she became the youngest women’s singles player to ever win the World Championships gold medal.
Joseph Schooling, Singapore, Swimming
Joseph Schooling is a star of Singapore’s swimming, having created history at last year’s Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, where he won gold and silver in the 100m butterfly respectively.
He is aiming for nine gold medals at this year’s SEA Games.
Sasha Christian, Singapore, Wakeboard and Waterski
Singapore wakeboarder and waterskier Sasha Christian began skiing at the age of just three, and won a wakeboarding gold medal at the 2011 SEA Games, according to the SEA Games Website.
She also had two podium finishes at last year’s Asian Beach Games.
Max Ducourneau, Singapore, Rugby Sevens
Max Ducourneau, who was born in Singapore but moved to France when he was 15, was quickly roped in to the Rugby 7s squad training after returning for his National Service last May.
The SEA Games will be his first foray into international duty.
