Sydney: Former World No. 1 men’s doubles player Tan Boon Heong and his girlfriend are engaged. Tan, who is currently playing at the Australian Open in Sydney, made the engagement official on Tuesday.
Tan first placed a ring on a plate decorated with the words “Will You Marry Me,” and when the moment came, he presented the plate and the ring to his girlfriend at a restaurant in Sydney.
Tan Boon Heong started to tear up when he was proposing to his girlfriend.
And finally she said YES! Applause broke out in the restaurant amongst their friends and family who were there to witness the couple’s proposal.
Both Tan and his girlfriend are from Alor Setar, and they have been together for 10 years.
