Kuala Lumpur: Japanese Kenichi Tago of Petaling BC extended his unbeaten streak to five matches, dispatching Bangsar Hawks BC’s Du Yu Hang 11-7, 11-6, 11-4 in the men’s singles match at Purple League on Wednesday.Kenichi Tago remains undefeated at the 2016/2017 Purple League. After Lim Yin Fun went down to Lee Ying Ying of Bangsar Hawks BC in the women’s singles match, Petaling BC won their men’s doubles match through Andrei Adistia/Chen Tang Jie, overcoming Irfan Fadhilah/Loh Kean Hean 3-2.

Although Petaling BC’s Agripinna Prima Ramanto/Devi Tika Permatasari succumbed to Joyce Choong/Pei Tian Yi 11-9, 9-11, 11-4, 10-11 in the mixed doubles event, Iskandar Zulkarnain responded under pressure as he knocked out Thomi Azizan Mahbub in the last men’s singles match to clinch the victory for Petaling BC with an overall score of 11-8.

In other tie that was held on Wednesday, Puchong United BC registered a 10-8 victory over Ampang Jaya BC.
