After a tough battle lasting 62 minutes, Chou Tien Chen defeated Loh Kean Yew 21-16, 6-21, 21-16 in the 2024 Thailand Masters final.
In an interview after the match, Chou said it was a very difficult game against Loh. Loh Kean Yew is very powerful and can suppress him with speed, making the confrontation very challenging. He acknowledged that his performance in the previous few tournaments in 2024 was not very good, but he maintained confidence and stamina, persisting until the end.
In the third game, Chou Tien Chen initially fell behind 4-6, but he quickly caught up and led all the way to win the championship. Chou Tien Chen said Loh Kean Yew is a very tenacious player, so the key to victory is to fight for every point, persisting until the last point. “Especially in terms of confidence,” said Chou.
Last year, he didn’t win a championship until the end of the year, and his performance at the beginning of this year was not particularly good.
