KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia’s dynamic men’s doubles duo Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin have officially ascended to World No. 1 in the latest weekly BWF World Rankings, marking a major milestone in their career and a proud moment for Malaysian badminton.

Despite only reaching the quarterfinals of last week’s Malaysia Masters Super 500, the duo earned a critical points boost to 91,090 — overtaking Denmark’s Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen, who lost their defending points after an early exit. This makes Goh/Izzuddin the 8th Malaysian men’s pair in history to hold the World No. 1 spot.
