Hangzhou: Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia, brushed aside recent controversy about an upside down Malaysian flag on his jersey, to deliver an exceptional performance at the 2024 BWF World Tour Finals in Hangzhou, China on Thursday. The world-ranked No. 8 shuttler secured his place in the semifinals with an impressive victory over world No. 2 Anders Antonsen from Denmark, winning 21-14, 21-19 in 47 minutes.

The world No. 7 pair now face a crucial match against Olympic champions Lee Yang and Wang Chi Lin of Taiwan. Speaking to BWF, Izzuddin acknowledged the challenge:
