In their first-ever appearance at the BWF World Tour Finals, Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei put up a spirited challenge against Olympic champions – Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong of China, and the fight lasted for a total of 74 minutes before Chen/Toh was beaten by Zheng/Huang at a very close score of 18-21, 21-14, 17-21.
