Kuala Lumpur: The Kajang BC finally had a reason to smile on Wednesday when they got their first win of the season.

After opening the season with 7 consecutive losses, Kajang beat Nusajaya BC 10-9 on Wednesday for their first win. Kajang started off on a bumpy road when the struggling Bong Guang Yik lost the first men's singles to Allan Tai of Nusajaya, and Boon Wei Ying was no match for Yip Pui Yin of Nusajaya in women’s singles losing 5-11, 5-11, 6-11 in just 18 minutes.Congratulations to Kajang BC and Liliyana Natsir (third from the right) for the win on Wednesday (photo: Kajang BC)

Lucknow: World number four Kidambi Srikanth and Commonwealth Games champion Parupalli Kashyap sailed into the third round of Syed Modi International Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament after scoring easy wins on what turned out to be a good outing for Indian shuttlers here today.

Kuala Lumpur: World number one men's doubles player Lee Yong-Dae has joined Muar City in the role of mentor. He would not compete in Purple League, instead, he would be offering advice and sharing experience with the Muar City players.
