After losing in the mixed doubles final of the National GP finals, last year’s Sabah Open winner Tan Aik Quan-Lai Pei Jing continued to struggle when they were dumped by Terry Hee Yong Kai- Shevon Lai Jemie of Ampang Jaya BC 8-11, 6-11, 6-11 in 19 minutes.
World number 26 men’s singles Tanongsak Somboonsuk and Tan Wee Gieen/Yew Hong Kheng then led Puchong United rolled to their fifth-straight win to finish the night with 13-9 triumph over Ampang Jaya.
Earlier Friday, despite losing in the first men’s singles match, Petaling Jaya BC made strong comeback to crush Kajang BC with the final score of 15-8.
