Vivian Hoo & Woon Khe Wei only Malaysians seeded for World Championships

Jakarta: Vivian Hoo/Woon Khe Wei have been named No. 12 seed at this year’s World Championships that will be held in Jakarta from 10 – 16 August 2015.Wish Vivian Hoo/ Woon Khe Wei (left) good luck for the upcoming World Championships.

However, former world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei will play in the world meet as an unseeded player. It’s very likely this would be his last world championships before he bring down the curtain on his illustrious career.

The seeding was calculated based on the total points accrued by players around the world in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings that released on July 23. Drawing procedure for the world championships will take place on July 28.

China’s Chen Long and Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei were seeded No. 1 in men’s singles and mixed doubles. Carolina Marin of Spain was confirmed as the top seed in women’s singles; while Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong and Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi received No. 1 seed in men’s doubles and women’s doubles respectively.
