
Lucknow, India — Malaysia continued to shine in the doubles department at the SYED MODI India International 2025 (BWF Super 300) as three of its five men’s doubles pairs secured their places in the quarterfinals. The women’s doubles also produced a Malaysian quarterfinalist through an all-Malaysian encounter.
The highlight belonged to Kang Khai Xing/Aaron Tai, who fought back with grit and composure to earn a spot in the last eight.
🇲🇾 Men’s Doubles: Three Malaysian Pairs Advance
Kang Khai Xing/Aaron Tai
Kang/Aaron Tai were pushed to their limits by Denmark’s Christian Faust Kjær/Rasmus Kjær, dropping the opening game before storming back for a 19–21, 21–19, 21–15 triumph.
They will now face India’s Hariharan Amsakarunan/M.R. Arjun for a place in the semifinals.

Their next opponents are the UAE’s Dev Ayyappan/Dhiren Ayyappan.
Men’s Doubles Exits
Two Malaysian pairs were unable to progress:

They fell 12–21, 18–21 to India’s fifth-seeded pairing
Hariharan Amsakarunan/M.R. Arjun.

The young pair were beaten by Chinese Taipei’s fourth seeds

Women’s Doubles: One Malaysian Pair Reaches Last Eight
In an all-Malaysian second-round match:
Ong Xin Yee / Carmen Ting
Ong/Ting produced a dominant performance, sweeping
Chong Jie Yu/Vanessa Ng 21–8, 21–8 to claim their quarterfinal ticket.
They will next face India’s Priya Konjengbam/Shruti Mishra.
