Birmingham, England – World No. 1 Shi Yuqi and An Se Young secured their spots in the All England Open finals.

Shi Yuqi Survives Li Shifeng’s Challenge to Reach Men’s Singles Final
Shi Yuqi overcame a resilient Li Shifeng in a thrilling three-game battle, winning 2-1 (21-9, 20-22, 21-19) after 75 minutes of intense play. The top-ranked Chinese star will now face Taiwan’s Lee Chia Hao in the final.

Shi started strong, racing to a 7-0 lead in the opening game, continuing his dominant attacking form. He comfortably closed the first game 21-9.

In the second game, Li adjusted his strategy, taking an early 10-6 lead. Shi fought back and leveled the score, but Li held firm. At 19-18, Shi earned a match point, only to slip during an attacking play, allowing Li to win the game 22-20 after a grueling 62-shot rally.

The deciding game saw both players engage in a tense battle, reaching 19-19. Shi then won two consecutive points to seal the victory and book his place in the final.

His opponent, Lee Chia Hao of Taiwan, defeated France’s Alex Lanier in a tight contest (19-21, 21-14, 21-17).

An Se Young Overpowers Yamaguchi to Enter Women’s Singles Final
World No. 1 An Se Young continued her dominant run, defeating Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi 2-0 (21-12, 21-17) in 48 minutes.

The Korean superstar controlled the match from start to finish, forcing Yamaguchi into defensive positions. Her precise smashes and aggressive net play proved too much for the Japanese player.

An will now face Wang Zhi Yi in the final after Wang defeated Han Yue 21-10, 21-19 in the other semifinal.

Men’s Doubles Final: Indonesia vs. Korea
The men’s doubles final will feature a showdown between Indonesia and South Korea after two hard-fought semifinals.
