Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s World No. 6 mixed doubles player Chen Peng Soon said he has recovered about 50% from the Bell’s palsy illness and has confirm to participate in “The Grand Match” event that will be held in Genting Highlands on December 28, 2019 alongside retired Malaysian badminton legend, Lee Chong Wei.

Chan said he already started training to get ready for Saturday’s “The Grand Match” event.

“My condition is much better now. I can at least close my left eye,” said Chan.

“I am very happy to recover in time to play in “The Grand Match”,” added Chan.

“Like all the fans, I am excited and want to see my old friend Lee Chong Wei in action since his retirement. I can’t wait to play with him as I haven’t seen him for a while,” explained Chan.

In addition to Lee Chong Wei, Chan Peng Soon, “The Grand Match” also featured Jonatan Christie of Indonesia, Goh Liu Ying, and Iskandar Zulkarnain.
