Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s popular isotonic sports drink brand, 100PLUS has roped in World No. 14 men’s singles player Lee Zii Jia as the new brand ambassador of the carbonated beverage in Malaysia.

In addition to be selected as the new brand ambassador of 100PLUS after winning gold medal in the men’s singles event at the Philippine Sea Games last December, Lee was also awarded RM10,000 by the sports drink company.

“I would like to thank the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) and 100PLUS for appointing me as their brand ambassador. This would encourage me to be more focus on training and trying to achieve good results,” said Lee at 100PLUS’ appointment ceremony.

“I did not expect to get the trust from the number one Malaysian isotonic beverage brand at 22 years old. I have to work harder and do not want to disappoint them,” added Lee, who will face Danish World No. 4 men’s singles player Anders Antonsen in the first round of the Malaysian Masters this week.

Meanwhile, 100PLUS Marketing Manager acknowledged that they had held talks with Lee before the player left for SEA Games in Manila.

“We are very happy to be able to enter into a two-year agreement with Zii Jia. He will be use the 100PLUS logo on the jersey he is wearing, and participate in programs and campaigns related to this beverage,” added 100PLUS Marketing Manager.
