JAKARTA: Malaysia enjoyed a standout day at the 2026 Indonesia Masters after three national pairs booked their places in the finals, led by men’s doubles duo Goh Sze Fei–Nur Izzuddin Rumsani at the iconic Istora Senayan.

The world number nine pairing delivered a dominant semi-final performance on Saturday, brushing aside Denmark’s Daniel Lundgaard–Mads Vestergaard in straight games, 21-9, 21-15, in just 28 minutes.

Watch highlights from the men’s doubles semi-final below:

The emphatic win improved Goh–Nur Izzuddin’s head-to-head record against the Danish pair to 3–2 and marked their best showing of the 2026 season so far.

The Indonesia Masters final represents a timely breakthrough after early exits at both the Malaysia Open and India Open earlier this year. Their last appearance in a World Tour final came at the Japan Open last season, while their most recent title was claimed at the India Open Super 750 in 2025.

Standing between the Malaysians and the championship are Indonesia’s rising pair Raymond Indra–Nikolaus Joaquin, who stunned their more experienced compatriots Sabar Karyaman Gutama–Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani in the other semi-final.

Malaysia’s celebrations continued in mixed doubles, where Chen Tang Jie–Toh Ee Wei produced one of their most convincing performances of the season.

The world number four pair overcame China’s second-seeded Jiang Zhen Bang–Wei Ya Xin in straight games, 21-17, 21-12, snapping a losing streak against the Chinese duo and booking their first final appearance of 2026.

Chen–Toh will now face Denmark’s Mathias Christiansen–Alexandra Bøje in the final, as they chase the fifth World Tour title of their careers.

In women’s doubles, top Malaysian pair Pearly Tan–Thinaah Muralitharan also advanced to the final with an assured display.

The world number two duo needed just 32 minutes to defeat Indonesia’s Lanny Tria Mayasari–Apriyani Rahayu 21-15, 21-8 in the semi-finals.

Last year’s runners-up are now one step away from their first title of the season and will meet Japan’s Arisa Igarashi–Miyu Takahashi in the final.

The Japanese pair reached the title match after edging Indonesia’s Rachel Allessya Rose–Febi Setianingrum in a hard-fought three-game contest.
