Bangkok: China’s Zhu Xuanchen and Wang Zhengxing booked their places in the Thailand Masters men’s singles semifinals after defeating their Indian opponents in the quarter-finals, setting up an all-China clash for a spot in the final.
World No. 169 Zhu Xuanchen overcame World No. 69 S.Sankar Muthusamy Subramanian in a hard-fought match, winning 19-21, 21-18, 21-13 to advance to the last four. His next opponent will be fellow Chinese player Wang Zhengxing, ranked No. 39, who secured a 21-17, 21-16 victory over India’s Kidambi Srikanth.
With this result, China has secured at least one finalist spot in men’s singles.

Singapore’s Jason Teh Jia Heng eliminated South Korea’s Jeon Hyeok Jin with a 21-13, 21-18 victory.

Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong Reaches Women’s Singles Semifinals
Top-seeded Pornpawee Chochuwong kept Thailand’s title hopes alive by securing a semifinal spot after a grueling 58-minute match against South Korea’s Sim Yu Jin. She prevailed 21-16, 13-21, 21-14, and will next face Indonesia’s No. 3 seed Putri Kusuma Wardani.

Indonesia’s No. 2 seeds, Shohibul Fikri & Daniel Marthin, took down India’s Pruthvi Krishnamurthy Roy/Sai Pratheek. K in straight sets, 21-19, 21-18, and will face Thailand’s Kittinupong Kedren/Dechapol Puavaranukroh in the semis.
Women’s Doubles – Indonesia vs. Thailand Showdown
Indonesia’s Meilysa Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Allessya Rose will take on Thailand’s Laksika Kanlaha/Phataimas Muenwong while another Indonesian pair Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti will meet Thailand’s Benyapa Aimsaard/Nuntakarn Aimsaard in the other semifinal.
Mixed Doubles
China’s Gao Jiaxuan & Wu Mengying survived a tough match against Indonesia’s Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah, winning 10-21, 21-10, 21-19. They will face Thailand’s No. 4 seeds Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran on Saturday.
The other semifinal will be an all-Indonesian affair between Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu and Dejan Ferdinansyah/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.
