Qingdao: Indonesia made history by securing their first-ever Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship (BAMTC) 2025 title after defeating China 3-1 in the final at Conson Gymnasium, Qingdao, China, on Sunday.

Decisive Victory Seals Historic Win
The championship was clinched in the fourth match, where Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Daniel Marthin dominated China’s Chen Xu Jun and Huang Di, winning 21-15, 21-9 in straight games.

This victory marks Indonesia’s first-ever BAMTC title since the tournament’s inception in 2017, surpassing their previous best achievement—a semifinal finish in 2019, where they shared the bronze medal with Hong Kong.
